For this project, students are required to synthesize information on Hinduism & Buddhism in addition to comparing these religions to each other and to their own religion. It is my hope that doing so will be an effective introduction to the novel that is imbued with these religions, and students will have a more sophisticated understanding of the novel and will be empowered with the knowledge to analyze it with sophistication.
